Metro Cup Message
Metro Cup
The Metro Cup Tournament will begin its first week of play this Sunday, April 14th.
Your attention is directed to the League website for scheduling and to the League by-laws, section 6. Summarizing, any match that is tied following 90 minutes of regulation play, will be extended by two 15 minute halves utilizing the “Golden Goal” Rule. If neither team scores during the Golden Goal extension, the match will be decided by penalty kicks.
Any regular season suspension – due to red card or yellow card accumulation – will be served during Metro Cup play. However, any yellow cards accumulated during the regular season that have not resulted in suspension will be erased. Stated differently, an individual player’s yellow card accumulation will be wiped clean for the tournament.
Have fun and enjoy.

New Rules
Change of rule for All Divisions:
Effective immediately September 26, TMSL would like to modify substitution guidelines moving forward as follows so that substitutes can be made on any out-of-bounds balls:- Retain current substituting guidelines: sub on own throw-in and all goal kicks.
- Add substituting on own corner kicks
- Add substituting on opponent’s corner kicks and throw-ins IF opponent substitutes first
So, a team can substitute on their own throw-ins and corner kicks, and all goal kicks, as well as the opponent’s throw-ins and corner kicks only if the opponents substitute first.
New rule for O50 and O60 Divisions
NO SLIDING. Exception: “Sliding to save the ball from going out of bounds or save the goal is permitted only if the opponent player(s) is not engaged in the same play”
