Jerseys/Cleats Memo

RE:                Alternative Jerseys / Metal Cleats

DATE:          September 21, 2015

As you all know, the TMSL Bylaws and/or Rules require every team to wear a jersey which displays prominently the name of our League sponsor, Chapman Auto.  The League provides jerseys to its teams.  However, the League does not provide the required alternative set of jerseys in the event of a color conflict.

There has been some confusion as to whether alternative jerseys – provided by the team — must bear the Chapman name.  The quick answer is “no”, but the League will add the Chapman name to a team provided alternative jersey – at the Shop – at no cost to the team.

Teams are required to wear their League provided jerseys for every match.  In the event of a jersey color conflict, the home team (the first team listed on the schedule) is responsible for a jersey change.  Alternative jersey options which are acceptable are as follows;

1.         An alternative jersey with professionally applied numbers; or

2.         Penny jerseys may be worn over the League supplied Chapman jersey.

Whether a jersey color conflict exists lies in the sole discretion of the Center Official and his/her referee crew.  No team or teams may override the discretion of the Referee crew.

Recently, there was also a question of whether metal cleats may be worn during TMSL matches.  Metal cleats may NOT be worn during any TMSL match.

Please pass the word.  Thank you.
