Pre-Match Player Identification Memo

MEMORANDUM

TO: All TMSL Captains, Referees and Players

FROM: Carl A. Piccarreta, President Tucson Metro Soccer League

RE: Pre-Match Player Identification

DATE: February 7, 2018

As a reminder, Referees are required to check and Players are required to produce a Government issued identification (U.S., Mexican, etc.) card with photograph prior to every match. This procedure is necessary to insure a Player is indeed registered to his respective team. This is not a discretionary function. It is required by the League By-laws. See Section V, Paragraph 8. The lone exception to this rule is when the Referee can attest to a Player’s identity based on that Referee’s personal knowledge.

Please share with your individual Players that failure to produce a Government issued identification card with photograph will result in playing privileges being suspended for that match.

Thank you.
